Don’t you hate getting into an elevator or standing in line next to a smelly person? The truth is, people bathe and wash their clothes and still they smell funky. Everyone has body odor caused by perspiration, foods we eat, where we are employed and from other smells around us. If you smoke or drink, this can make the problem worse. Trying to cover up odors with perfumes and deodorants smell nice at first but can add to the problem as the day progresses.  Laundry detergents try to cover up odors with chemicals. They do a good job of getting out dirt but they do nothing to neutralize the body odor.

If you are one of the few people that suffer from severe body odor be assured this can be dealt with. Doctors have been known to prescribe charcoal tablets to help stop some of the heavy and more severe body odors. In addition, you can chew on parsley after meals and throughout the day. Parsley helps to keep body odor in check as well. Parsley contains chlorophyll which is the mineral that neutralizes internal body odor that are caused by what we eat and drink.

At the end of the day you put your dirty clothes into the laundry hamper (or in a heap on your closet floor) because you know they do not smell very good because of body odor. It is probably not the kitty cat that smells but the urine deposits that it is leaving behind. Cat’s will mark their territory by urinating. Some cats urinate outside the litter box and others have a strong urine smell even when they use the litter box. A cat will urine mark its territory when it is in a new living situation or if there are other cats in the house and it feels threatened. There are many reasons a cat will urinate outside of its litter box. It may not like the kind of litter that is in the box. Some cats are fussy and do not like course feeling litter or scented litter. If the cat is new to the household it is best to buy small amounts of litter until kitty has picked its favorite. Another reason a cat will urinate outside the litter box is a rare condition but nonetheless it happens. The condition is called feline senility. The cat actually forgets where it is and what it is supposed to do. If the cat is over 10 years old it is possible for it to contract this condition. You will know it because the cat will have a blank look and act lost. If this condition exists in your cat veterinary assistance is mandatory.

No matter what the reason your cat does not use its litter box the odor is not pleasant and must be eliminated. The floor where the litter box is housed can be washed and kept clean but the urine odor will permeate the room and eventually the entire house. If you have one cat it is easy to keep the litter box clean because it would be a small litter box. However, if you are a multi cat family than cleaning the litter box is a little more difficult because it would be fairly large. Sprays do not do the job of eliminating cat urine odor. While cleaning the area be sure to cover you nose and mouth The spores will become active as they try to find another place to settle and you will breathe them in.

Mildew will adhere itself not only to the concrete walls and floors in the basement but will grow on furniture, walls and floors or any room in the house that has warmth and moisture. If you are in a warm climate and live near a body of water you know how quickly the mildew will grow and spread. It is important to keep these areas as dry and as clean as possible to deter the growth of mildew. Once all of the mildew has been removed the drying and cleaning should be done as an ongoing process to avoid its return.

Once you have removed all of the mildew you will have to contend with the musty odor it left behind. The process of mildew odor removal is not a difficult process but it too is ongoing. Fresh air circulating in the affected area is one way of removing the musty odor. Keeping the area dry with the use of an electric fan will also help to eliminate the musty odor left behind by mildew. This is a the coolest thing ever.  Mrs. Crow, who is a reading specialist teacher at the local Grade School, had this made by her son, Aaron Crow, who is a film student and artist, as a thank you to Ninja (Certified Pet Therapy Dog, for doing Reading with Children at the school.  Ninja is on her third year helping children learn to read.

Whoopy and Barry visited the Maricopa County Hospital Children’s Floor.

Whoopy not only got to visit a bunch of kids between 3 & 18 today, but also got to be walked by 2 kids down the long corridors. One young boy had surgery yesterday and Whoop had him up and walking his first long walk. Another cute 3 year old was really standoff-ish when Whoopy came in the room, but by the end of the visit she was petting and hugging Whoopy.

Not only did she get to meet and greet kids, but was loved by parents, nurses, doctors and most of the staff and visitors.
