Happy Halloween

Hi There. It’s me again, Brett. In case you missed my first blog I am a 13 year old male Himalayan and full of lots of stuff to tell you. Halloween is upon us and for us cats it can be a nightmare. Children look cute in their costumes but do they have to make so much noise? We cats do not like noise of any kind.

What I am here to tell you is two fold. First, let’s talk about home odor removal. As I stated in my last blog, odors are caused by many things such as dirty laundry in the hamper, left over cooking smells, body odor and even our litter box stinks. All of our homes have a certain smell that is exclusively our own home odor and that odor represents the home’s essence and personality. I once heard a blind man say he always knew whose house he was in because of the distinctive smell. But this is not the type of odor I am talking about. What I am talking about is the kind that when you open the door Halloween night you may find a bunch of trick-or-treaters lying on your porch knocked out from your home odors.

You don’t want to use aerosols or those discount store products advertised for home odor removal. No matter what their advertisements say, these do not remove the odors they just cover them up. They smell nice for a while and then BAM the odors are back. Besides aerosols are not very eco friendly and we are all green conscious these days. Use something that is kind to the environment. Can I recommend something you ask? Of course, try OdorZout. This is great stuff. I talked about it in my other blog. This stuff not only removes the odors but does it in a way that you would never ever know there were any odors to start with. Check out their various home odor removal products and you will never have to worry about your house smelling offensive.

I said this blog was two fold. Here is part two. If you have kitties keep them close to you Halloween night and don’t let them out of your sight. Watch the doors because you will be opening and closing them all evening. I would suggest you take your kitty or kitties and place them in a closed room with food and water and a temporary litter box until all the trick-or-treaters have gone. I am not saying that the kids would harm your cat(s) but at this time of the year there are a lot of sick people on the loose. Catnapping at Halloween time is more common than most people think.  No matter what color your cat is it is vulnerable but if it is black then it is even more vulnerable to being catnapped and hurt. I know you want it to see the kids in their costumes but really the kitties don’t care. Please look after them and keep them safe.

Bye for now. I will write soon.
